About Us

The Family Resource Center at Penn is a hub for information, resources, activities and advocacy for students and post-docs with children. The Family Center provides a forum for student parents to connect and develop supportive networks, and offers a welcoming and family-friendly environment for Penn students, post-docs, caregivers, and children.

The space includes a lounge, a family reading room, nap space, conference room, and a children's play area complete with toys, games, and books; two private lactation rooms equipped with Symphony breast pumps; and community bulletin boards. Many of our toys were generously donated by the Hassenfeld Family Initiatives of Hasbro. The Family Center has also received generous support from the Trustees' Council of Penn Women and GAPSA

The Family Center will be closed on all University holidays and for occasional maintenance. This website will contain specific dates.

Children visiting the Family Center must be supervised by parents or caregivers at all times. Students and post-docs who wish to use the Family Center should first review the Family Center Guidelines and must sign our Parental Release & Consent Form.
